The aim of the project is to develop a digital twin of the TEPLATOR nuclear facility, which will be used to simulate operational and safety parameters and contribute to improving the efficiency and sustainability of nuclear heating.
In cooperation with the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics at the Czech Technical University (CIIRC CTU), we are working on the development of a digital twin of the TEPLATOR nuclear thermal device. It is a modular heavy water small nuclear reactor designed for emission-free heat production. The digital twin is a virtual model of the system that is synchronized in real time with the operation of the actual device and allows for the simulation of normal and critical scenarios before they occur. It can be used to optimize energy consumption, maintenance schedules, and operating strategies, predict safety risks, and perform predictive maintenance to reduce the risk of unplanned outages. At the same time, it helps maximize the use of recycled fuel, reduce waste, and promote the circular economy, thereby significantly enhancing the energy efficiency, safety, and sustainability of the entire plant.
